What is a staging site?

Staging site, dev (short for development) site or testing site is the location where your website will sit before going live. This website will not be publicly available and will usually be on a domain such as http://dev.yourwebsitedomain.com.

When we develop a new website for you we create a staging site so you can see our progress before your new website goes live. It will also allow you to change content and make sure it’s ready to go live.
