Rebranding refresh celebrates 30 years of business centre success

“I’ve worked with the team at Genius Division on many projects over the last few years, and it was no surprise therefore to find that their understanding of our creative needs were met on every level. Their attention to detail and outstanding level of work was exacting throughout the project with delivery deadlines and targets hit every time”.

Kevin Steel, Business Development Manager at The Business Village:

Project Objectives

Barnsley Business and Innovation Centre Limited (BBIC) has been successfully trading for 30 years as a business centre which offers expert advice and support to its tenant businesses. They pride themselves on their mission to assist, promote and encourage the development of innovative technology and knowledge based businesses in order to generate employment and create economic growth.

The BBIC approached us to assist them with their rebranding for this important 30th year milestone. They have several buildings based on two different sites and the rebrand needed to work across a range of applications including interior and exterior signage, their website, stationery and advertising materials. Looking to the future, the BBIC also wanted to change their company name to something that would better represent them as a business centre.

Our Work

We worked with the BBIC Management Team to develop a more appropriate name for their organisation and decided on The Business Village @BarnsleyBIC. The new name represents the BBIC’s collection of buildings as well as the friendly helpful atmosphere that the organisation thrives on.

We produced several visualisations of how the new logo and branding would look in their main reception areas and externally on their buildings. Once agreed we produced designs of the artwork and liaised with our signage supplier to print and install the designs.

Using leading content management system, WordPress, we developed a new website which also followed the newly created branding guidelines. The website contains easy to find, useful information regarding the services on offer to existing and potential tenants.

Creating a Positive Impact

The new branding and name change has rejuvenated the BBIC’s image. Their new website is easy to navigate, bright and clear and shows off the now Business Village as a professional, aspirational place to be. The branding is set to take them forward following their 30th anniversary and will help them to compete against other business centres and entice new tenants.

How we can help your business

If you have a long standing business it may be time to update your branding and website, and possibly even update your company name to draw in new customers. Sometimes a brand refresh can make a real difference to how potential customers view you. If your branding and website is looking outdated compared to your competitors it may be worth considering updating these to show your customers you’re still current and relevant in today’s market.

If you’d like any help with how your image could be updated to reflect your business in the best possible light, then please get in touch. We can talk you through our approach of how we will develop your ideas and make some suggestions of our own that you may not have even considered.
